As we have seen with the recent price increases in petroleum goods, CNG prices are also rising. CNG filling stations sell compressed natural gas on a per kilogramme basis. In Pakistan, cars and trucks are the primary consumers of this fuel. Gas cylinders are commonly used as fuel in rickshaws, wagons, and cng vehicles. However, CNG petrol produces less power than LPG does.

In Punjab and KPK provinces, CNG gas stations will be unavailable from November 2022 to March 2023 due to a 50% shortfall as the gas crisis develops due to a lack of available LNG throughout the winter season. Twelve LNG cargoes per month are required to be imported by the government.
Due to poor domestic output, the province of Punjab is also experiencing a gas crisis. However, during the upcoming winter season, LNG will be unavailable for CNG stations in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
